The girl with the I-hate-myself-and-I-want-to-die attitude, that lingers on wooden escapes in dew rimmed roses ,
Is the girl that carries the world on her shoulders.
She  has those preying eyes in which a deep sorrow is embedded.

She never cries, for she is scared to drown the lady birds in liquid grief.
She never moans, for she is afraid  to wake the dew drops that cling to
the grass under her restless feet.
She never talks, for she's terrified the words will betray her and sting her until
she admits her crimes.

The girl with the I-hate-myself-and-I-want-to-die attitude carries the world on her shoulders.

People feel their life slip away all the time, and keep stumbling over the razor-sharp edges of ignorance. And when they believe their world to have passed into the endless seas, they blame me.
The girl with the I-hate-myself-and-I-want-to-die attitude.

All that is needed to destroy her body, is the belief in a treacherous disease.
'Ignorance' shall be the name her headstone bears.
I'm not much of a prose writer, this was one of my first attempts. And then it's not entirely prose at all, it turned out to be a lot more poetry related than expected. So tell me what you think.

What do you think it is about? Can you spot the sociopolitical aspect?
Is it too confusing? Does it conjure up any emotions? What about the words I used? Anything else?
There's probably a lot of mistakes in here; please feel free to correct any.
And do you know a better ending line? I couldn't find the right word..

Babydoll, this is why I love Deviant Art.
Pieces like this make it worth while, because works will come along and conjure up a strong feeling in my stomach, move through my chest and into my fingers to type comments like these.
Keep it up. ♥
